Below is a sample message you can adapt and send to your patients to explain your practice's COVID-19 mask policy.
Dear Patients,
Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff, patients and community. Although Texas has made great strides in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, [Practice Name] will continue to follow health and safety guidelines recommended by the CDC and other leading medical authorities.
All staff, patients, and visitors are required to wear masks while in any of our clinics. Those who have been vaccinated for coronavirus are still required to wear a mask and follow all social distancing guidelines.
Those community members who are unwilling or unable to wear a face mask or covering will not be permitted into our clinics and will be encouraged to reschedule their appointment. Additionally, if you would prefer to change your scheduled appointment, we will make that change for you.
We will continue to assess our safety measures and will keep patients informed of any future changes. Thank you for your continued diligence in helping us keep everyone healthy.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us at [telephone number] to speak with a member of our staff.
Best regards,
[Physician name, MD]
