All Sterile Drug Products from Nuvision Pharmacy in Dallas — Recall

April 24, 2013

The FDA is reminding health care professionals about safety concerns with all sterile drug products made and distributed by NuVision Pharmacy of Dallas, Texas. Do not administer any NuVision Pharmacy sterile products to patients because the products’ sterility is not assured.

NuVision Pharmacy has repeatedly declined to recall its sterile products. The FDA cannot require NuVision to undertake such a recall. Therefore the agency reminds health care professionals not to use any sterile products from NuVision.

Health care professionals are encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of these products to the FDA’s MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program.
